EXPECTATIONS

The definition of EXPECTATIONS is:  The ACT of EXPECTING.

What does that mean exactly?  It can mean so many things.  But I want to speak to expectations we have of OTHERS. 

If you have expectations of how you should be treated on your job by others, are those expectations being MET?  We should all expect to be treated respectfully.  But ya know what?  Sometimes that just doesn’t happen.  My motto is, all that matters is how I treat others, with respect and kindness.  If I am not respected back, I first look at MYSELF.  My character is what matters, not theirs.

If I am honest and know that I have acted respectfully, that’s all I can do.

Having EXPECTATIONS of how others should treat you can very well make you miserable.  As well as those around you. 

As Dennis Prager says, HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE! 

And as Dr. Phil says, DO YOU WANT TO BE RIGHT? OR DO YOU WANT TO BE HAPPPY?

The answer is simple.  So, keep your expectations in check. AND MAKE A CHOICE TO HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
